7 Rules About School That Are Meant To Be Broken

1. Have your lunch i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶l̶u̶n̶c̶h̶ ̶b̶r̶e̶a̶k̶ when you are hungry

Having your lunch while you sit with your best friend in the second row is absolute fun. The smell of hot paranthas is so intriguing and when transferred across the classroom, even the first benchers cannot resist unboxing their tiffin.

2. N̶o̶ cellphones should be allowed

Not bringing cellphones to school sounds orthodox. Remember the days when you used to ask your parents permission to take their phones to your school, sharing music via Bluetooth, taking pictures with your friends without getting caught.

3. Everyone s̶h̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ may or may not be there during a morning assembly

Being disinterested and singing morning prayers won't make anyone religious. One's faith, beliefs, and values matter. If you ever made ab excuse of having stomach ache to escape the long speeches, your childhood was awesome.

4. Grades (𝙙𝙤𝙣'𝙩) reflect how good a student you are

Society always emphasizes good grades, be it the teachers, or the parents. Good grades are important, but they don't reflect your intellect. You can fail any subject and still have more knowledge than getting just a big grade "A" on your report card. If you also modified your marks from 56 to 86 to boast about it to your relatives, congratulations!

5. (𝙉𝙤) Punishing students for not doing their homework on time

Criticizing students for not doing their homework on time in front of everyone is a toxic thing. Instead of sending them out of the class, punishing them, marking their diary with "UNDONE", they should rather be asked the reason why they failed to complete their home assignment to understand the barriers bridged between a teacher and his student. Remembering the day when you lied to your teacher about not doing your homework because your best friend didn't will surely bring a smile to your face.

6. Girls ̶s̶h̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ may or may not come to school in skirts

Everyone has the right to freedom of choice. One should wear clothes they're comfortable with. There are many girls who like to dress up like a boy, and no one should take any offense to it. If you also wore a trouser in your school days and received a complaint from your teachers against it, you've broken a rule which should definitely be reworked upon by the school administration.

7. (𝙒𝙝𝙮) Chewing gums in the classroom is prohibited

During a boring lecture, chewing gum helps you not to fall asleep. Sometimes, it helps you stay attentive in class. Have you ever shared half of the chewing gum with your best friend during a lecture and stuck it in the backside of your bench when the teacher caught you two? If yes, you've made some beautiful memories already.
