"Jitni izzat tum is game ko doge, utni he izzat yeh tumhe dega" - Sachin Tendulkar

To the God of Cricket,

Watching cricket was never my cup of tea until I saw you batting on the field with sheer brilliance and extreme confidence when I first started to watch this game. I wouldn't deny the fact that I am one of your biggest fans amongst millions of people out there. You are the epitome of perfection.

Cricket has been my favorite game ever since then. The reason I watched cricket was always you. I remember you quoting "Jitni izzat tum is game ko doge, utni he izzat yeh tumhe dega". I've always seen you respecting this game, your co-players, and most importantly the game field.

The day you signed off from international cricket on 16th November 2013 after a massive inning against West Indies held me for days and even today I cannot stop praising you for that. A man who never was looked down on by anyone, a man in whose blood only one thing was itched "Cricket"

Sachin Tendulkar, you became the synonym of cricket when you hit 200 in an innings against South Africa. The one who was facilitated with Bharat Ratna award. You receiving it at such young age and being the only sportsperson been awarded then speaks about your passion and dedication towards the game.

An enormous and extravagant player created history after history with his brilliance. The IPL League with Mumbai Indians, ODI's, Tests, and whatnot. The scoring of 241 runs not out against Australia and the list goes on, for to pen down one is absolutely difficult.

A legend in the history of Cricket, you are worshiped by many fans like me. Though, my heart broke apart as you announced your retirement. I wish I could see you play one last time again on the field. You are the one who defines cricket for not only me but millions of others.

Happy Birthday Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar!

From,

Your ardent fan.
